Hanboknam's Changdeokgung Branch Moved to a New Location!


 Hello from the Changdeokgung branch of Hanboknam!

We have some exciting news to share

that we've moved to a new location as of last November!💗

We couldn't wait to tell you all about it!



Before the move:

Seoul, Jongro-gu, Donhwamun-ro 85, 2F

After the move:

Seoul, Jongro-gu, Donhwamun-ro 86-1, 1F


Our new spot is just across the street from our original location,

making it closer to the entrance of Changdeokgung Palace!


Plus, it's perfectly situated between Jongro-3 ga Station and Anguk Station,

making it super easy to access both Line 3 and 5.


Our Changdeokgung branch is closed every Monday

but we open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9AM to 19:00 PM.

Just a heads up, we might close early depending on circumstances,

so do check for our opening hours before your visit!



What's New??

Here are some great upgrades from our move:

1. Clean and fresh: We've revamped our interior for a brighter, cleaner shopping experience!

2. Convenience of the first floor: No more second-floor confusion! Our new first-floor location makes it easy to find us.

3. More fitting rooms: We've added fitting rooms to cut down on waiting time!

4. Google Maps review event: Leave us a review at our new addresses on Google Maps, and enjoy a delicious Boknam's Yakgwa (traditional Korean dessert) as a thank-you!



When you rent a Hanbok at our renewed Changdeokgung store, 

you'll enjoy complimentary 

hairbands, styling services,

cabinets for your belongings, and inner skirts.

Plus, entry to the palace is free in Hanbok!



If you participate in our social media events,

you can rent our traditional (basic) or themed-Hanboks for just 20,000 KRW!

as we'll be holding it instead of a damage deposit.

Good day everyone! Hanboknam is back! Today I want to tell you about one of the most influential people TIMES recorded last 2019, which everyone may already know. BTS!! Credits: Hypebeast BTS is a KPOP idol group who recorded the 1st rank in the Billboard 200 chart in the year of 2018 and got into different rankings with their songs. Their concerts were always sold out by thousands and thousands of people. They are the ones who currently made Korea more known by foreigners and also activated tourism in Korea.  Before them, whenever Koreans go to a foreign country, they would ask if you are from South or North Korea.  But because of BTS the very first question others would ask is  "Do you know BTS?" Introducing Hanbok with New Design

This hanbok is an elegant design with beautiful Oriental paintings on top of the skirt. Traditionally, red is a popular color for women.  Adding thin lace fabric to traditional hanbok design,  It's a more feminine and luxurious hanbok. The painting on the skirt is designed to further upgrade the elegance of the jeogori. The three layers of skirt are layered, so it's good to make it look plentiful. The design is being ordered by the mothers of the bride and groom for the wedding.  Red is worn by the bride's mother and green by the groom's mother.  This is the hanbok worn by the mothers of the groom at the bottom.
